One Year In the Left Seat

Today is a milestone for me. One year ago today I started my flight training. I took a half hour discovery flight with me first instructor. Since then I was hooked. Today I flew solo over to Easton to have lunch with a friend. The flight was fun and the lunch we had at an Amish Market in Easton was tasty. On the return trip the visibility was much less than forecast. There was a lot of haze and the visibility was about 5 to 6 miles. It was very hard to see and I was glad that I knew where I was. TRACON called me and asked if I had the field in sight. I barely made out the field through the haze. Once I was down I logged my time to see home many hours I had flown in a year.

Total Time: 72.6 Hours
Pilot in Command Time: 41.5 Hours
Solo Time: 24.1 Hours

My only regret is that I didn't start flying sooner. My next milestone will be 100hrs.
