Pitch Problems

When flying slow your pitch controls your speed. This is very important during the landing phase. You've got to get slow...but not too slow. Today I once again found myself in the traffic pattern for landing practice. My problems have been mostly confined to the elusive "proper pattern and approach speed." I've had problems seeking out the proper pitch attitude to control my airspeed on the approaches. Without the proper speed it makes it very difficult to round out and flare properly. My instructor is telling me what I'm doing wrong each time but it just hasn't "clicked" yet. I can't seem to get consistent. On our last landing the pattern was getting full. My instructor asked me to do some s-turns to give the aircraft on the runway time to get off ahead of us. I was familiar with the concept but had never performed the maneuver before. It went OK but then it messed me up on the landing. I bounced...twice. At least they weren't hard bounces. I'm just shy of 15 hours. It it clear that this is holding up my solo. I'm hoping that I can solo somewhere between 15 and 20 hours. If not then I will simply have to settle for soloing when I'm ready and not before. Time will tell.
