Landings, landings, landings...and almost solo

The weather was clear and the winds were light. The only minor problem was that runway 10 was in use. That made our traffic pattern right handed. That's only a minor inconvenience due to having to make all right turns in the pattern. We practiced landings today in order to get me to solo. By the end of our lesson my instructor was ready to step out of the airplane and let me fly solo in the pattern by myself. I balked and told him I wasn't ready. In hindsight I think I regret putting it off. If he thought I was ready then maybe I should have done it. I told him that I wanted to fly some more approaches and get some really good landings one more time and that if I could do it again next lesson then I would feel ready. I left the airport with mixed feelings. I'm not sure if I made the right decision.
