With a clear mind and an eager heart I was in search of that "perfect" landing. The one where my instructor would remain silent all through the approach and then say "good job" when we taxied off of the active runway. I didn't get that today but I got a lot closer. No more hard landings and less floating. My only problem today was speed control in the pattern and finding the centerline track for the runway. Otherwise, I feel so much better in the pattern and I am starting to get a feel for how to correct my errors. I am starting to feel the airplane's movement and gaining an understanding of how to correct for wind or how to alter my controls to fix what I may have changed. It's all getting very exciting. I know that once I get these landings down it will be time for the big moment...SOLO. I just need some more work, good weather, a bit of luck from the aviation gods, and of course my medical card. If I can get it together I'll solo before 20 Hrs. and save myself some time and money.
